Soap Horse moves in the borderland between alt-country, punk and experimental rock and creates an alluring sound universe characterized by quirky guitar figures, texture and atmosphere. The music ranges from intimate, poetic songs to noisy and grandiose arrangements, where melody and dissonance coexist in a constant search for presence and contrast.
At the center are raw, present vocals and a strong compositional intuition that draws on the intensity of noise rock, the openness of the people and the experimental music scene’s search for a break from form. The music is carried by organic textures, where violin, pedal steel, saxophone and guitar are woven together in a soundscape that balances the fragile and the monumental.
Soap Horse is not one fixed formula, but a living musical organism, performed solo or with a full ensemble, which in its changing past always contains a special intensity and thoughtfulness.
The project’s musical range extends from dusty Americana and droning passages to distorted poetry and melodic noise in unexpected constellations.
